If you want to say something derogatory about me get in line. Its unlikely you will find anything to say that I haven't already heard but don't be discouraged, feel free to throw caution to the wind and surrender to the urge to express yourself. Its not that I want to read anything offensive, I don't, but nor do I want to prevent criticism just because its critical! I must say I thought the creature who wished I "would fucking die" was decidedly unwell, probably certifiable, but in spite of the risk of sickoes freedom of speech has to be a two way street.
I try not to see offence where none may exist even though I strongly suspect that in some instances and when addressed to me, its definitely not just any old typo. It may be the old time, place and even name that inhibits: please don't let it! As far as I am concerned such constraints have no place here. If its your own 'good' name that's worrying you - use a pseudonym after all it won't be the first time, will it? Do try not to use anonymous though, that's almost as bad as the stalker... I think that in relation to derogatory comments 'anonymous' is nothing short of cowardice. The idea of this blog is that I say whatever I think so I can hardly deny that freedom to anyone else.
I have noticed that on some sites the proprietor of the site can seem almost omnipotent. I dislike that intensely, obviously the 'conversation' has to be directed and supervised but disagreeing with the blogger should not be a reason to ban anyone and I have seen this happen on more than one occasion. I raised this subject on an earlier post called 'Tell Me What's What' but its probably buried too deep for most readers to delve so I'm giving it a page to itself. Do feel free to have a go. I usually respond, often in kind, so, once again, be warned...
